Galeb Abu-Ali is a Research Associate in the Department of Biostatistics at HSPH and the Microbiome Analysis Core Director. Before becoming fascinated with microbiome research, he studied the pathogenomics of opportunistic pathogens through integration of multi-omic data from experiments that mimic host-microbe interactions and otherwise perturb bacterial cell function, at the US Food and Drug Administration. Galeb has a PhD in Comparative Medicine and Integrative Biology from Michigan State University, and a DVM from the University of Belgrade, Serbia.
