I direct the Bioinformatics and Research Computing (BaRC) group at the Whitehead Institute. We consult and collaborate with Whitehead scientists, train biologists in selected areas of bioinformatics, provide graphical expertise and instruction, and create and share bioinformatics resources. Before coming to Whitehead, I earned a Ph.D. at the University of Arizona. Before that, I taught high school science overseas, trained medical technicians, and taught skiing.
