I've received my PhD in Biology from the Heinrich-Heine University Dusseldorf, Germany in 2006. Afterwards I started a PostDoc with Des Higgins at the University College Dublin, Ireland. During that time I authored/co-authored multiple sequence alignment programs like ClustalW2, Clustal-Omega, R-Coffee etc. I then started a Research Associate position in the Genome Institute of Singapore, where I currently lead the Research Pipeline Development team, part of the Scientific Research Computing division.
